Lauren’s legal practice is centered on commercial real estate transactions of all kinds. Developers, corporations, and privately held companies and investors rely on Lauren’s counsel for acquisitions and dispositions involving office buildings, condominium buildings, shopping center anchor tenants, residential rental buildings, single family homes, and other properties in a broad range of buys and sells. Her services range from negotiating and creating purchase and sale agreements to assisting clients with conducting due diligence on properties. Further, Lauren has extensive experience in drafting all documents necessary for new construction properties such as condominium declarations, covenants, conditions and restrictions agreements, property reports, and the like. She also performs a wide array of leasing work and enjoys reviewing leases with her clients, addressing any issues that may arise. Landlords and tenants alike rely on Lauren to negotiate suitable leases for retail, industrial, and office settings. Lauren further represents institutional lenders, crafting mortgage loans, deed in lieu agreements, deeds in escrow, and a wide variety of other documents, including workouts, and she also has experience in the Ad Valorem real estate tax appeal and reduction process. 

Prior to starting LK Law in 2020, she practiced in-house as Real Estate Counsel in the automotive industry, partnered at Fuchs & Roselli, Ltd. in its commercial real estate and banking and finance departments, and launched her career as In-House Counsel for a local Chicago real estate developer where she focused on residential and commercial development. 

Lauren is licensed in the State of Illinois, and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. 

She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of Salt Creek Ballet, a not-for-profit ballet school located in the western suburbs. She is also the President of the Hinsdale Junior Woman’s Club and enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two children.
